Board of Directors

  • 1. Michael East — President
    Michael East possesses over 30 years of diversified experience at the journeyman level in the Commercial / Residential building industry in the Carpenters Brotherhood Union Local #713. He has successfully attended Laney City College, completing courses in blueprint reading, construction estimation, business administration, and business management. Mr. East has satisfactorily completed the general B building course at the contractor's state license school and successfully passed the California State Contractor License Board Law and Business exam. Michael is currently a B-general building contractor, and he is also the former owner/ builder for A Plus Property Management Company.
  • 2. Sequeena Cook — Secretary
    Seqeena Cook possesses over 30 years of experience in the administrative office setting. She worked as the office manager for the Food Industry Crusade Against Hunger in Ontario, California, for 7 years. This position served as a catalyst for her to further her knowledge of business within the private sector while serving the community. Her responsibilities included bank deposits, supervision of work-study students, response to customer inquiries, bulk mailings, product shipments, and oversight of daily office operations. For the past 15 years, she has held the position of secretary for the county in southern California.
  • 3. Fay Michelle Clinton — Senior Administrative Assistant
    Fay Michelle Clinton is a Senior Registered Financial Officer in the banking industry who brings her expertise in budgeting and financial management. She is a California licensed Series 7 and 66 licenses. She has a BA in communications from the University of Washington. Fay is the new Senior Financial Instructor and Administrative Assistant. As the Treasurer, she oversees the organization's financial activities, ensures the proper allocation of funds, and provides financial reports to the board and stakeholders. Fay's attention to detail and financial acumen contribute to the organization's financial stability.

  • 1. Jalil Whitfield — Youth Counselor/ Labor Instructor
    He has over 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur in the commercial/residential building industry.
  • 2. Jamel Prater — Youth Counselor/ Financial Business Coach — Jamel has over 20 years of diversified experience in the residential real estate industry.
  • 4. Sherman Turner - Director of Transportation — Sherman will safely facilitate transportation to and from the airport for different activities and functions for board members and the staff. He will also be the youth mentor and counselor.
  • 5. Edward Miller, Director of Photography, will oversee social media, audio, and visual productions. He has over 30 years of experience as a professional photographer in the film and photography industry.
